This show is co-produced with Minnesota Opera.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mezzo soprano Hannah Ludwig &#8217;14 performs in New York City with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teatronuovo.org\/maometto-secondo-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teatro Nuovo<\/a> in Gioachino Rossini&#8217;s \u201cMaometto Secondo\u201d on July 13.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Music educator and band and choral conductor Paul Kimball \u201985 is music director and orchestra conductor for the classic Broadway show \u201cGypsy\u201d at the <a href=\"https:\/\/sctlivetheatre.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stockton Community Theatre<\/a> through July 17.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Books<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business expert and YouTuber <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edmylett.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ed Mylett<\/a> majored in communication at Pacific. He wrote the best-selling book\u202f\u201cThe Power of One More: The Ultimate Guide to Happiness and Success.\u201d&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professor of history <a href=\"http:\/\/kenalbala.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ken Albala<\/a> has authored, edited and co-authored dozens of books on food. Indulge in one of his easily digestible works such as \u201cNoodle Soup: Recipes, Techniques<em>,\u201d \u201c<\/em>Obsession; Beans: A History,\u201d or<em> \u201c<\/em>Three World Cuisines: Italian, Mexican, Chinese<em>.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sports<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the summer baseball schedules if you\u2019d like to see Pacific alumni \u201cplay ball.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>Left fielder and shortstop Brett Sullivan \u201915 is with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.milb.com\/el-paso\/schedule\/2022-07\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Triple A San Diego Padres<\/a> in El Paso, Texas.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Second baseman and shortstop Wyatt Hoffman \u201921 plays in Minors for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.milb.com\/fort-wayne\/schedule\/2022-07\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">San Diego Padres High A<\/a> in Fort Wayne, Indiana.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patrick Weigal \u201915 pitches for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseballamerica.com\/teams\/10050\/tacoma-rainiers\/schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tacoma Rainiers PCL<\/a> in Washington State.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University of the Pacific will host the Intercollegiate Tennis Association\u2019s Summer Circuit July 16-18. Several female tennis players will compete representing <a href=\"https:\/\/pacifictigers.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WCC Pacific Tigers<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re near California beaches in Santa Cruz, Santa Monica, Monterey, Manhattan Beach or Huntington Beach, go see Pacific athlete Hania Taduran \u201924 compete in the California Beach Volleyball Association\u2019s tournaments in July and August.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pacific Tigers are playing on several soccer teams across the United States. Watch them on Netflix.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Actress Janet Leigh \u201947 starred in many acclaimed movies, but she is best known for her shower scene in Alfred Hitchcock\u2019s \u201cPsycho.\u201d Celebrate her birthday month, July, by rewatching this influential horror flick.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emmy-winning screen score composer Larry Groupe \u201979 wrote music for several renowned movies such as \u201cLine of Fire,\u201d \u201cThe Contender,\u201d \u201cCommander in Chief\u201d and most recently \u201cThe Outpost\u201d (2019). Groupe also worked with rock band Yes, co-composing 10 original songs for their album \u201cMagnification.\u201d&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tigers Abroad<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Music composition majors Noah Granard \u201922 and Wyatt Cannon \u201922 have been commissioned to compose new music for the renowned <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vipafestival.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VIPA festival in Spain<\/a>. Their works will be performed at the festival through July 16.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Find several Pacific Tigers competing for the Canada National Team in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fina.org\/competitions\/2853\/fina-men-s-water-polo-world-league-super-final-2022\/info\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Water Polo World League Super Finals<\/a> in Strasbourg, France, July 22-27.
